In preparation for the upcoming season, the Bengals and Colts will be engaging in joint practices. The Bears head coach Matt Eberflus recently announced that his team will be working with the Bengals prior to a preseason game in August. In response, the Bengals revealed that they will also be having joint practices with the Colts on August 20 in Cincinnati. This marks the first time the Bengals have scheduled multiple joint practices since Zac Taylor took over as head coach.
The Colts will also be holding a pair of joint practices as well. The Cardinals had previously announced that they will be working with the Colts earlier in the month. Joint practices provide teams with an opportunity to scrimmage and work on specific plays and strategies in a controlled environment before the start of the regular season. It allows players to compete against different opponents and helps coaches evaluate their team’s performance in a more competitive setting. Overall, joint practices are a valuable part of the preseason preparation for NFL teams.
