Twelve Knights Honored on College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District Teams

Bellarmine University has had twelve of its student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District Teams for their academic excellence. The organization recognized six students on both the Women’s At-Large Team and the Men’s At-Large Team.

On the Women’s At-Large Team, Bente Moorman and Alexa Rastigue from the field hockey team were honored, along with Teresa Schmidt from the digital media program, Kailey Workman majoring in biochemistry, Josephine Bonin majoring in business administration, and Alaina Schmitt studying communication.

The Men’s At-Large Team also saw recognition for John Alie, Christian Della Rocco, Aidan Fearn, Benny O’Rourk, Justin Wescoat from the lacrosse team, and Zac Cowan from the wrestling team.

To be eligible for consideration for the CSC Academic All-District Team, student-athletes must have a minimum 3.5 GPA and meet specific criteria related to playing time and participation in their respective sports. For lacrosse and field hockey athletes must have appeared in at least 90% of games or started in at least 66% of games while participants in golf and wrestling must compete in at least 70% of events.
