Beetlejuice Returns for Opening Night of 2024 Venice Film Festival

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the long-awaited sequel to Tim Burton’s 1988 hit, will make its world premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival. The film will screen out of competition on August 28th in Venice, and will be followed by a North American release on September 6th and an international release on September 4th.

Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara will reprise their roles from the original film, while newcomers to the series include Justin Theroux, Monica Bellucci, Jenna Ortega, and Willem Dafoe. Warner Bros., which has had great success in Venice in the past with films like Joker and Dune, is excited to bring this iconic character back to the festival.
