Beachum’s Impact: Arizona Cardinals Prepare for 2024 NFL Season, Looking Forward to Key Player’s Role

68 days until the Cardinals face off against the Bills in the season opener

The Arizona Cardinals are preparing for the start of the 2024 NFL regular season. In three weeks, the team will report for training camp in anticipation of their Week 1 road game against the Buffalo Bills on September 8, just 68 days away. No. 68 on the Cardinals roster is tackle Kelvin Beachum, a key player who has been with the team since 2020.

Beachum has been an impact player for the Cardinals, serving as their primary backup swing tackle. He initially signed a one-year deal in 2020 and started all 16 games at right tackle before re-signing on a two-year deal in 2021. In that year, he started 15 games at right tackle before transitioning to left tackle later in the season and starting all 17 games there in 2022. Although he became a backup in 2023 after re-signing on a two-year deal, Beachum was named the Cardinals’ Walter Payton Man of the Year in 2021.

As we get closer to training camp, we’ll continue to bring you updates and insights about the Arizona Cardinals.
