BBC Pages Utilize Google AMP Technology: Understanding Consent and Ad Customization Options

Apple, a technology titan, discontinues its Pay Later loan program in the US

Google AMP technology is used to create lightweight mobile pages called AMP pages. These pages have their own consent settings for data collection that only apply to them. When visiting non-AMP BBC pages, you may need to set these preferences again.

Personalized ads are displayed on AMP pages outside of the UK if you consent to data collection. You can learn more about how we personalize ads at the BBC and with our advertising partners. You have the option to opt-out of receiving personalized ads by clicking “Reject data collection and continue.” Please note that you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized.

At any time, you can adjust your consent preferences by clicking on “Ad Choices / Do not sell my info” in the footer. You can either accept data collection and continue or reject data collection and continue based on your preferences. Some limited information may be stored on your device without your consent in order for essential data collection to function properly. This information is stored using local storage, and you can read more about it in our privacy policy.
