In Gainesville, Florida, Baylor emerged victorious in a thrilling 5-2 win over fourth-seeded Florida on Saturday. This victory forced a deciding third game in the Gainesville Super Regional, with both teams now vying for a spot in the Women’s College World Series.

The game began with a walk and a single, setting the stage for Shaylon Govan’s 11th home run of the season off Florida’s pitcher Keagan Rothrock. RyLee Crandall, who pitched for Baylor, was impressive throughout the game, allowing only five hits and two walks while striking out six batters.

Despite Florida managing to score with a home run in the second inning, Baylor quickly responded with a run of their own. The Bears took advantage of a wild pitch to bring Taylor Strain home after she led off the inning with a single. Skylar Wallace also contributed to Florida’s score with an RBI single in the fifth inning.
