The game was a rollercoaster of emotions with the Wildcats initially taking a 3-1 lead until the seventh inning. The Wolfpack then tied the game 3-3 with a two-run homer and took a 4-3 lead in the top of the ninth on a wild pitch. However, Kentucky fought back, with Ryan Nicholson hitting a solo shot to tie the game at 4-4 in the bottom of the ninth before Mitch Daly’s walk-off home run in the 10th secured the 5-4 victory.
