The incident took place at the facility and prompted an officer to locate the vehicle in the parking lot of Limestone High School tennis courts. The school resource officer was informed, leading to the implementation of a “hold.”
Following this, authorities conducted a high-risk traffic stop on Airport Road, resulting in the car stopping in the faculty parking lot. All three individuals involved were detained and interviewed. Ultimately, it was determined that only one person, a juvenile girl who had been a passenger in the vehicle with a gun in her lap, would be arrested. Authorities emphasized that this was an isolated incident and reassured the public that there was no ongoing threat to Limestone High School.
