Barcelona Femení appoints young Pere Romeu as new head coach, excited for the future.

🚨 Pere Romeu appointed as new head coach of Barcelona Femení

Pere Romeu has been named the new head coach of Barcelona Femení, a position he previously held as an assistant to Jonatan Giráldez. Romeu, who is just 30 years old, has signed a two-year contract that will keep him with the team until June 2026.

Romeu has been with Barcelona since 2017 and has worked closely with the developmental ranks. He played a key role in the development of midfielder Gavi, and his experience and dedication to the club make him a valuable addition to the team as they continue to push for success on the pitch.

Romeu briefly left the club in 2019 to serve as an assistant manager at Romanian side Viitorul Constanța before returning in 2021 to become Giráldez’s deputy. During his time with Barcelona, Romeu has been part of the coaching setup that has seen the team win three Liga F titles in a row and back-to-back Women’s Champions League crowns.

Barcelona Femení is excited about Romeu’s appointment as their new head coach and looks forward to continuing its success on the pitch under his leadership.
