B-Quik, a convenience store chain, is currently constructing its fourth local store next to the Benny’s car wash on Lee Drive. The new 5,000-square-foot store is expected to be completed by the end of the year and will be similar to the B-Quik location on Perkins Road. However, it will feature self-service checkouts and an expanded drink cooler.
The project has been undertaken by Guy Hopkins Construction, who has been hired as the general contractor for the project. When it becomes operational, around 30 to 35 employees are expected to work at the station.
Justin Alford, co-owner of Benny’s and B-Quik, spoke about the project and said that members of the Benny’s car wash club will receive special discounts when they visit the new store. Additionally, there will be six gas pumps available at the station.
