Austin FC and Columbus Crew Prepare for Major League Soccer All-Star Games in 2025

Austin FC slated to host 2025 MLS All-Star Game

The Major League Soccer (MLS) team in Austin, Texas, is currently negotiating to host the 2025 MLS Game at Q2 Stadium. ESPN reported on Monday that the team is close to finalizing legal contracts for the event, which will take place next summer.

Unlike other North American all-star games, the MLS All-Star Game features the best players from MLS competing against select players from an international club or players from another league. Austin FC, founded in 2018 and beginning play in the 2021 season, is the first major professional sports team to call the Texas capital home. In 2022, Austin FC made it to the Western Conference Final but was defeated by LAFC 3-0. Q2 Stadium, where the team plays their home games, has a seating capacity of 20,738.

Meanwhile, Columbus Crew will host this year’s MLS All-Star Game on July 31st at Lower.com Field as they take on superstars of Liga MX. This comes after a disappointing match last year where the MLS team suffered a 5-0 defeat against Arsenal FC of the Premier League at Lower.com Field.
