Auburn’s Class of 2025: Eric Winters Commits to the Tigers

Auburn lands commitment from four-star safety Eric Winters

Eric Winters, a four-star safety from Enterprise, Alabama, is one of 12 recruits visiting Auburn this weekend. There is speculation that he will commit to the Tigers before the weekend ends. On Saturday afternoon, Winters made his decision and announced his commitment to Hugh Freeze and Auburn.

Winters has always been drawn to Auburn and cites Freeze’s love for his players and family values as major factors in his decision. The strong relationship they have built has solidified his choice to attend Auburn. Winters is now committed to Auburn and is already working to recruit other top players from Alabama to join him at the university.

His teammate Zion Grady is among the players he has his eye on, as well as other talented prospects like Alvin Henderson, Julian Lewis, and KJ Lacey. Winters is also collaborating with Coach Freeze to bring in a group of top defensive players from Alabama known as the “Super 7.”

As a result of Winters’ commitment, Auburn now holds the No. 6 spot in 247Sports’ class of 2025 recruiting rankings. Ranked as the No. 5 recruit from Alabama in the cycle and standing at 6-2 and weighing 200 pounds, he is ranked as the No. 5 safety and the No. 53 overall recruit for the cycle.
