Atraverse Medical, a San Diego-based medical device company, recently announced the FDA clearance of its HOTWIRE radiofrequency (RF) guidewire. This innovative device allows for zero exchange left-heart access while also serving as a rail for catheter-based therapy systems. The company also revealed that its seed round was oversubscribed, raising $12.5 million in funding.
