The Atlanta Open is set to return in 2024, featuring a lineup of top tennis players including Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe. The tournament will take place from July 20-28 at Atlantic Station, with Shelton, who hails from Atlanta and is ranked No. 14 in the world, headlining the event. Tiafoe, a three-time champion of the tournament, will also be competing.

This year marks the end of an era for the tournament after 15 successful years. Peter Lebedevs, the Executive Vice President of Tennis Operations for GF Sports & Entertainment, expressed excitement about hosting another impressive field of players. The tournament will begin with an exhibition match between women’s tennis stars Venus Williams and Sloane Stevens on July 21.

The complete lineup of players for the Atlanta Open includes top-ranked players such as James Duckworth, Adrian Mannarino, and Mackenzie McDonald. Other notable players participating in the tournament include Jordan Thompson, David Goffin, and Borna Coric, among others.

Ben Shelton’s father was a former Georgia Tech tennis player and coach who achieved All-American status at Georgia Tech before coaching the women’s team to a national championship in 2007 before moving on to coach the men’s team at the University of Florida. The family relocated to Gainesville after Bryan’s new coaching position.
