Sony’s recent State of Play presentation saw the unveiling of Team Asobi’s latest project, a new chapter in the Astro Bot series set for release on PlayStation 5 in 2024. The game, titled “Astro Bot”, was showcased through a trailer that highlighted the adorable robot’s platforming and combat sequences, accompanied by an enchanting soundtrack. The trailer also hinted at an adventure that celebrated not only Astro Bot but the entire PlayStation universe.
Following the reveal, more details about Astro Bot emerged, including that it will not be free and pre-orders are now available. The game will feature six different galaxies with over 80 levels to explore, each offering unique environments such as forests, beaches, volcanoes, and giant hourglasses. Additionally, Astro Bot will introduce 15 new abilities designed to take full advantage of the DualSense controller’s capabilities. This new installment marks the fifth Team Asobi project featuring the lovable robot, with their previous title, Astro’s Playroom becoming widely popular among PlayStation 5 users.
