Aston Villa’s sporting director, Monchi, has expressed interest in acquiring teenage talent Michael Kayode from Fiorentina. The 19-year-old right back has impressed during his time with Fiorentina, scoring one goal and providing four assists in 37 matches while playing a total of 2906 minutes.
Reports suggest that Tottenham has also been closely monitoring Kayode’s progress this season. However, Monchi believes that Kayode would be a valuable addition to Unai Emery’s squad at Aston Villa and has submitted an offer worth around €15m plus add-ons to acquire him.
Fiorentina values the young talent slightly higher and is open to offers in the region of €20m plus add-ons. It is expected that Aston Villa will come back with a new proposal in the near future as they continue to pursue Kayode to strengthen their squad.
