Mirzoyan: Armenia’s People aspires to European Ideals and Values

In a significant development, Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and the delegation of the Committee on Political and Security Affairs of the Council of the European Union met today in Yerevan to discuss various aspects of the European Union monitoring mission in Armenia and the economic component of the RA-EU partnership. The meeting highlighted opportunities provided by initiatives such as the Economic and Investment Plan and the new “Armenia’s Resilience and Growth” program.

Mirzoyan emphasized that there is a need to utilize opportunities beyond the agreement, including deepening RA-EU relations through continuous implementation of the Comprehensive and Extended Partnership Agreement. He also referenced the European aspirations of the people of Armenia, as mentioned by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in a speech to the European Parliament in October 2023.

The meeting also touched upon security issues in the South Caucasus, with Mirzoyan briefing EU member state ambassadors on recent developments in normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. He highlighted RA’s commitment to achieving peace through mutual agreement on key issues in the peace agreement. Additionally, Mirzoyan stressed the importance of unblocking transport and economic channels in the region, citing government programs such as “Crossroads of Peace.”

In a separate event, Prime Minister Pashinyan received a delegation from an academic institution today. The meeting covered various topics related to chemistry education, including hands-on experiments, coping with academic pressure, maintaining mental and physical well-being, balancing academics with extracurricular activities, feedback for improving performance, time management tips for balancing academics and life, essay writing tips, dissertation writing tips, and resources for improving academic writing skills.
