Jaden Rashada, Arizona State’s starting quarterback, opts to transfer as he enters the portal

Arizona State’s starting quarterback, Jaden Rashada, has announced that he will be entering the transfer portal. Rashada made this announcement on social platform X, expressing his gratitude to coach Kenny Dillingham and his staff. He specifically thanked Coach Dillingham for his consistency, care for the university and players, and for sharing his passion and knowledge of the game with him.

Rashada originally committed to Miami before decommitting to play at Florida before transferring to Arizona State. He earned the starting quarterback position as a freshman but his season was cut short by a knee injury that caused him to miss nine games. Despite this setback, Rashada demonstrated his skills by throwing for 485 yards and four touchdowns with three interceptions on 44-of-82 passing in three games.

Due to offseason thumb surgery, Rashada was limited during spring drills. His future plans and destination after entering the transfer portal are yet to be determined. This decision marks a new chapter in Rashada’s football career as he looks for the right opportunity that will best support his growth and success on the field.
