Arizona Cardinals’ Rookie Receiver Tejhaun Palmer Wears No. 83, Following in the Footsteps of Greg Dortch and Potential Impact on the Team.

The Arizona Cardinals have completed their offseason program and are now entering the first week of the summer break. This means they are getting closer to the start of the regular season, where they will face the Buffalo Bills on the road in Week 1 at Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park. As of today, there are only 83 days left until that matchup.

The Cardinals currently have rookie receiver Tejhaun Palmer wearing No. 83 on the team. Palmer was drafted in the sixth round this year, but he has yet to make an impact on the team and may struggle to make the roster. The last impactful player to wear No. 83 on the team is receiver Greg Dortch, who recently changed to No. 4 after Rondale Moore was traded to the Atlanta Falcons this offseason.

Dortch has played for Arizona for the past three seasons but has not put up big numbers, with his career-high being 52 catches for 467 yards in 2022. Despite limited opportunities on offense, Dortch has shown that he can produce when given the chance. He may have a more significant impact on the team as the starting slot receiver in 2024 with his new jersey number.
