However, some patients are concerned about the uncertainty surrounding their primary care physician within the Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield network. For example, Kathryn Cramer Adair and her husband, who have had COVID-19 multiple times, rely on their primary care physician within the Anthem network for consistent care.
In response to the situation, Anthem has stated that discussions with Common Spirit Health have been positive but significant issues remain including ensuring fair and reasonable rates to retain compassionate doctors and nurses. The focus is on protecting essential medical services and advocating for patients to receive the care they need.
