Norwich City Women have appointed Andy Cook as their new head coach, who previously coached at Newcastle United. Cook led his team to promotion to the Barclays Women’s Championship and reached the final of the FAWNL Cup during his tenure at Newcastle.

Cook will replace former full-time boss Martin Herdman and interim boss Scott Emmerson at Norwich City Women. He expressed excitement about joining the team, praising the facilities and the players he has met so far. The club aims to achieve promotion this season to tier three of the Women’s National League system, currently competing in Division One South East.

Norwich City women’s general manager Flo Allen is confident in Cook’s coaching philosophy aligning with the club’s vision and values. She views his appointment as an exciting development in the team’s journey as they continue to progress and grow. Cook will officially begin his role on 1st July, ready to lead Norwich City Women to further success in the upcoming season.
