Allies for a Progressive Government: A Look at the Agreement Between HDZ and Homeland Movement

Dabro: ‘Homeland Movement Supported by 12 Signatures, No Issues Present’

Dario Hrebak of HSLS, Damir Habijan of HDZ, Vladimir Bilek representing the Czech and Slovak national minority, and Josip Dabro of the Homeland Movement all commented on the agreement reached between HDZ and the Homeland Movement. They discussed the collection of signatures for the parliamentary majority and the key points of their respective programs.

The parties involved in the agreement are working to ensure that their policies are compatible and aim to create a positive outcome for the future government. The Homeland Movement is collecting signatures and working to harmonize with parts of the HDZ program.

Andrej Plenković would have enough signatures to seek a mandate to form a new government, and they are coordinating with representatives of the Club of National Minorities to move forward. The Presidency of HSLS confirmed their agreement on forming the parliamentary majority and expressed their alignment with Andrej Plenković’s direction. They emphasized the need for cooperation and compromise to move forward successfully.

Habijan stated that the HDZ would discuss the agreements reached in their foreign bodies the following day and expressed confidence that everything would work out. They discussed the possibility of forming a future government and the path to achieving that goal.
