Alleged Sexual Assault at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry: Offender Remains At Large

Minor Attacked at Museum of Science and Industry on Thursday | Evening Digest

On Thursday, a minor was sexually assaulted at the Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) in Chicago. The assailant is still at large and the Chicago Police Department has issued a community alert for the 3rd District on April 25. The incident occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., when the minor was separated from her group at the museum located at 5700 S. DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

The offender approached the minor and offered help, leading her to the second floor where the assault took place. During the assault, the minor was in the restroom when the offender crawled under the stall door and touched her genital area. She fought back and kicked him, who then fled from the scene.

The offender is described as a male in his 30s to 40s, standing between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-3 with a light complexion, medium build, light brown curly hair, colored eyes, a beard, and a tattoo of a roaring lion on his neck. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a light blue shirt, blue vest, blue jeans, and black gym shoes.
