Alessandro Buongiorno: Napoli’s Potential First Signing in Antonio Conte Era Could Amount to €40 Million

Napoli reaches preliminary agreement with Torino for Alessandro Buongiorno

According to recent reports, Napoli may soon be signing Italian international Alessandro Buongiorno, who is just 25 years old. Buongiorno is a central defender who could potentially be new manager Antonio Conte’s first signing at the Serie A club Napoli.

Torino’s president Urbano Cairo is reportedly hesitant to let go of one of his key players, but with additional bonuses and future add-ons included, the total value of the transfer could amount to around €40 million for Torino. Napoli’s Sporting Director, Giovanni Manna, has presented Buongiorno with a five-year contract that would nearly double his current salary at Torino.

Buongiorno has been in high demand from various Premier League clubs, but he appears to prefer staying in Italy. Cairo has come to terms with the likelihood of losing his star defender to Napoli and is currently in negotiations and discussions with the clubs and player. It remains to be seen whether or not Buongiorno will ultimately choose Napoli over other suitors.
