The United Nations reports that only a small number of UNRWA health centers are currently operational in Gaza due to a serious shortage of medicine and fuel. The appalling sanitary situation in Gaza, where waste and sewage pose a significant danger to life, has also raised concerns among UNRWA officials. They attribute the worsening health conditions to a variety of factors, including crowded shelters, lack of food, water, and fuel, minimal access to medical supplies, and the summer heat.
On another front, Israeli Air Force head Tomer Bar has stated that Israel is prepared for a potential war against Hezbollah in Lebanon. He emphasized the importance of attacking the enemy in their territory as the ultimate solution and declared Israel’s readiness against Hezbollah. These comments echo those made by Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, who warned that the Israeli armed forces are capable of causing significant damage to Lebanon.
