Akira Carson: A New Chapter in Downtown Bryan with a Design Studio and Upcoming Projects

Designer takes business to downtown Bryan

Akira Carson, the creative mind behind Carson Fashion, is relocating her business to downtown Bryan. The designer is set to open the AK Carson Design Studio on the second floor of the Parker Astin building on June 1st, with a soft opening scheduled for that day.

Carson has been honing her craft for six years, designing clothing for men, women, and children as well as shoes and accessories. Her new studio space offers separate areas for retail, sewing, and embroidery, allowing her to work efficiently while showcasing her creations.

Carson’s work has been featured in various places, including Reed Arena. In January, WNBA player Angel Reese was spotted wearing one of Carson’s bomber jackets during a game between LSU and Texas A&M. The jacket was a gift from her niece and highlighted the versatile nature of her designs.

The designer attributes her success and growth to the support of her family who played a significant role in designing her new studio space. From hand-painting the floor to helping with various aspects of the business, Carson’s family has been instrumental in her journey.

Looking ahead to the future, Carson expressed excitement about starting a new chapter and hinted at upcoming projects and developments. She is optimistic about the potential for growth and innovation in her work and plans to showcase her abilities in new and exciting ways by 2024.
