Air India Launches Premium Economy Cabins on Certain Domestic Routes; Explore the New Features

Air India is making strides to enhance the passenger experience by introducing premium economy cabins on select domestic routes in its new A320 planes. This feature is part of the airline’s ongoing commitment to provide a comfortable and satisfying travel experience for passengers. The premium economy cabins will be available on 10 flights in the Delhi-Bengaluru and Delhi-Chandigarh routes starting from July 1, 2024.

The introduction of premium economy cabins is just one of the ways Air India is working to improve passenger comfort and satisfaction. Backed by Tata, the airline plans to implement a three-class configuration on its entire narrowbody fleet by 2025. This configuration will include eight seats in Business class, 24 extra legroom seats in premium economy, and 132 comfortable seats in economy class. Passengers can also look forward to features like subtle cabin mood lighting, spacious legroom, and amenities such as portable electronic device (PED) holders and USB ports for charging devices.

With a focus on passenger well-being and convenience, Air India continues to make improvements to its services to meet the evolving needs of travelers. By offering premium economy cabins on select domestic routes, Air India aims to provide passengers with a more luxurious and enjoyable travel experience. This new service is a step towards further enhancing the overall customer satisfaction and comfort levels on the airline’s flights.
