Alessandra Keller Triumphs over Ferrand-Prevot to Claim Victory in Women’s Short Track at UCI MTB World Cup Nove Město

Alessandra Keller, also known as Thomus Maxon, emerged victorious in the short track race held in Nové Město na Moravě. Despite her setback on the second lap when she crashed and was forced to rejoin the front of the group, Keller showcased her strength and resilience by taking the lead and launching an attack from the front.

Ferrand Prevot, who led a small group in a final chase during the last lap, pursued Keller relentlessly. However, despite setting her fastest lap in the process, Ferrand Prevot was unable to catch Keller. Hayley Batten of Specialized Factory Racing rounded out the podium placements.

Pieterse displayed his resilience by regaining momentum and finishing in fifth place overall. Reflecting on her victory, Keller expressed her joy at winning the race and credited her strategy for the successful outcome. She revealed that her boyfriend had advised her to attack with two laps remaining, and she executed the plan by creating a gap downhill and giving her all to maintain her lead.

Keller highlighted the satisfaction of overcoming the difficulties and securing the win during a challenging final lap. Ultimately, she described the experience as “super sweet” and expressed gratitude for the support that propelled her to victory.
