Aerospacelab and Xona Space Systems have formed a strategic partnership to integrate Xona Space Systems’ positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) technology into Aerospacelab’s satellite platforms. Through this collaboration, Aerospacelab will utilize its Versatile Satellite Platform (VSP) to develop, produce, and launch Xona Space Systems’ inaugural navigation satellite featuring its PNT payload.
Xona Space Systems is currently working on creating a commercial PNT service that utilizes a constellation of low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellites. The company aims to offer this service as a reliable alternative to the PNT capabilities provided by GPS. By collaborating with Aerospacelab, Xona Space Systems can leverage the company’s expertise in small satellite design, manufacturing, and operations while also utilizing its deep understanding of PNT payloads. Together, they aim to deliver advanced navigation solutions that meet both current and future requirements in satellite navigation and applications.
By combining their proficiencies in satellite technology with Xona Space Systems’ innovative PNT technology, the partnership seeks to provide a comprehensive solution that enhances navigation services and addresses evolving industry demands. This collaboration represents a significant step towards improving the capabilities and reliability of satellite navigation systems, benefiting a wide range of applications across various industries.
