ABC News Senior Meteorologist Rob Marciano has officially left the network after a decade of service. This news was confirmed by a source familiar with the situation to USA TODAY.

Marciano, who is 55 years old, joined ABC News in 2014 and has provided weather updates on shows such as “ABC World News Tonight with David Muir,” “Good Morning America,” and “Good Morning America: Weekend Edition.” Prior to his time at ABC News, he co-hosted Entertainment Tonight for almost two years.

In June 2023, Marciano reported on the recovery efforts in Shreveport, Louisiana following a devastating storm that aired on “ABC World News Tonight” and was featured on ABC News’ website. Most recently, Marciano celebrated his 10-year anniversary with ABC News on Instagram, mentioning that he would be contributing to various ABC shows and platforms during the week while spending more time with his children on weekends.

A representative for ABC News declined to provide a comment on Marciano’s departure. USA TODAY has reached out to Marciano’s representative for a statement. Meanwhile, Marciano also teased an upcoming project with NatGeo that will allow him to explore exciting new opportunities.
