A Violent Attack on an Elderly Pedestrian: Suspect Knocks Down 84-Year-Old Man and Fleees, Allegedly Stabs a Police Officer During Arrest

On Saturday, an 84-year-old man was seriously injured in Schliersee, Bavaria after being knocked over by a 49-year-old German man. The suspect, who is believed to have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the incident, initially caused head injuries to the elderly pedestrian before fleeing to his apartment.

Upon arrival at his apartment, the suspect threatened police officers with a knife, prompting multiple officers and special forces to be called in for an arrest. During the arrest, the suspect allegedly stabbed a special operations unit (SEK) officer multiple times, but thankfully, the officer was unharmed thanks to his protective gear.

The motive behind the attacks remains unclear as an investigating judge issued a detention order for the suspect and he was taken to a psychiatric hospital for further evaluation. The investigation into this incident is ongoing.
