Patriots to Honor Brady by Retiring Number 12 Jersey

The New England Patriots have announced their plans to retire Tom Brady’s number 12 shirt and construct a statue in honor of their legendary former quarterback. This decision was made as they inducted the 46-year-old into the team’s Hall of Fame.

Brady, who was selected by the Patriots as the 199th pick in the 2000 draft, led the team to six Super Bowl victories during his time with the franchise. After leaving the Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, Brady went on to win the Super Bowl in his first season with his new team and was named the game’s Most Valuable Player for the fifth time.

During his retirement ceremony at Gillette Stadium, Brady expressed his gratitude and said, “I am eternally grateful. I am Tom Brady. And I am a Patriot.” He played under former Patriots coach Bill Belichick during his time with the team and expressed his deep respect for Belichick, stating that there is no coach in the world he would rather play for.
