A NASCAR Tripleheader at Talladega Superspeedway: Xfinity, Cup and ARCO Menards Series Races on Saturday

Xfinity Schedule for Saturday Cup at Talladega Superspeedway

On Saturday, Talladega Superspeedway will host two NASCAR series races. The Xfinity teams will be competing at the 2.66-mile superspeedway, while the Cup teams will be qualifying for Sunday’s 500-mile race. Additionally, ARCO Menards Series teams will also be on track for a Saturday afternoon race. This is the 36th Xfinity race at Talladega, with Jeb Burton as the defending winner who has won twice at Talladega since 2021. AJ Allmendinger is the only other driver in the lineup with an Xfinity win at Talladega. Jesse Love and Austin Hill form Richard Childress Racing’s Xfinity lineup, with Hill leading the series with six wins on drafting style tracks but has not finished better than 14th at Talladega in four starts.

In terms of manufacturer dominance, Chevrolet has won the last nine Xfinity races at Talladega, with Kaulig Racing delivering four of those wins while Ford has not won an Xfinity race at Talladega since 2017 and Toyota has not won since 2014. Saturday also marks the third race of the Dash 4 Cash program, with Sam Mayer, Ryan Sieg, Justin Allgaier, and Allmendinger competing for the $100,000 bonus.

The schedule for Saturday at Talladega Superspeedway is as follows: The Garage opens from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., followed by ARCO Menards Series racing starting at 10 a.m., followed by Cup Series qualifying from 12 p.m.-1 p.m., then ARCO Menards Series racing from 4 p.m., and finally Xfinity Series racing from 5 p.m.-6 p.m.. The weather forecast for Saturday calls for cloudy skies with a chance of rain showers throughout the day, with a high temperature of 75 degrees Fahrenheit and a chance of rain during the start of the Xfinity race
