A Furry Companion for My Birthday: Offering Signed Copies of My New Novel Father of Mine

Special Weekend Giveaway for Fathers

In celebration of my birthday, I was hoping to welcome another furry companion into my life, but unfortunately, that won’t be possible. However, I still wanted to give something special to one or two (or even three) lucky readers. To do so, I am offering signed, personalized copies of my novel “Father of Mine,” which is set in 1973 and inspired by real-life events in the town where I grew up.

The idea for this story came to me in a dream four years ago, and ever since then, I have been working on it. Along the way, I also wrote a sequel and worked on “Playmakers” and the Christmas tale “On Our Way Home.”

I am proud to say that writing books has been a fun and rewarding experience for me. While it may seem like a departure from my usual style of writing brief copy-paste-snarky-comment blurbs, it has given me the opportunity to explore new ideas and express myself creatively. Since launching Pro Football Talk in 2001, I have generated over 20 million words, making it easier for me to write long-form fiction.

If you are interested in receiving a signed copy of “Father of Mine,” all you need to do is send an email to florio@profootballtalk.com with the subject line “Father of Mine June 8, 2024 giveaway.” Be sure to include your mailing address and preferred inscription.

In addition to “Father of Mine,” both “On Our Way Home” and “Playmakers” are available in ebook form for just $3.99 each, with print editions priced at $14.99 and $9.99 respectively. If you order the hard copies this weekend, you can expect them to arrive by Father’s Day.

So if you want to show your support on my birthday by purchasing a copy of one of my novels, I would truly appreciate it. But if there’s one thing I wish more than anything else right now
