911 System Enhanced with Advanced Features to Boost Emergency Management Efficiency and Safety

Highlighting the Cutting-Edge Technology of 911

Director Rijo Gómez presented on the advanced features of the 911 system, highlighting its ability to locate emergency situations with precision and integrate with various technological platforms. These improvements are expected to streamline emergency management processes and enable quicker and more efficient decision-making.

The introduction of new technologies represents a significant milestone for the emergency system, said Rijo Gómez. The enhancements will not only improve operational efficiency but also increase the safety of citizens and tourists in the country.

In addition to these advancements, Rijo Gómez emphasized the importance of the Video Surveillance Network in increasing citizen security. He expressed gratitude to the US Embassy, specifically the INL office, for their support in modernizing the 911 System. The goal is to update its technological infrastructure to meet current standards.

During the presentation, Katherine Suplick and Elaine Gutiérrez from the US Embassy commission received insights into the operational framework of the 911 system. They learned how seamlessly these new technologies will integrate into its daily operations at North headquarters in Santiago de los Caballeros, attended by key figures within 911 such as Deputy Director Colonel Harold Jiménez Polanco, ERD; Regional Director Lieutenant Colonel (DEM) Eddy Pérez Cedeño, ERD; and Director of Technology and Video Surveillance Martín Santana.
