An impressive 69-year-old retiree recently achieved a remarkable feat by visiting 120 pubs in just 24 hours, breaking a Guinness World Record. David Clarkson, originally from Britain but residing in Australia for over 40 years, started his attempt at the Captain Cook Hotel in Sydney with his first drink.
Over the next day, Clarkson visited an astounding 119 more establishments, ordering a drink at each stop. To verify his achievement, Guinness World Records Adjudicator Pete Fairbairn joined him for the start and end of his pub crawl. Witnesses also accompanied him during the middle portion of his journey to collect evidence.
Clarkson’s record-breaking attempt was completed at the Sussex Garden Bar, where Fairbairn officially certified it. This accomplishment surpassed the previous record held by Australians Harry Kooros and Jake Loiterton, who visited 99 pubs in 24 hours.
