The 26th Cross-Straits Fair for Economy and Trade recently launched in Fuzhou, China. Hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and the People’s Government of Fujian Province, the fair is organized by the Fuzhou Municipal People’s Government, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Fujian Provincial People’s Government, and the Department of Commerce of Fujian Province. The event aims to be a major gathering for economic and trade discussions, attracting over 50 industrial and commercial groups and more than 1,000 Taiwan compatriots and businessmen.

This year’s fair adopts a new mode called “5+3+N”, featuring five main activities, three supporting theme exchange platforms, and various investment promotion and industry collaboration events. Key activities include the Opening Ceremony and Cross-Straits Exchange, as well as thematic exchange platforms like the Achievements Release of Cross-Straits Integration Development and Industrial Collaboration Promotion Booth.

The Cross-Straits Fair for Economy and Trade has played a crucial role in exploring new avenues for cross-Straits integration over the past 30 years. It has become a prestigious event attracting tens of thousands of Taiwanese enterprises and over 30,000 Taiwanese businessmen. The fair promotes smooth economic and trade cooperation across the Strait, making it an experimental platform for early-stage cross-Straits integration.
