The San Francisco 49ers have signed wide receiver Jauan Jennings to a contract extension that will keep him with the team through the 2025 NFL season. The new deal is worth up to $15.4 million over the next two seasons, with $10.5 million guaranteed. Despite not participating in the first week of organized team activities, Jennings has been present at practice sessions this week and will continue to be a key target for the 49ers as they work towards the upcoming season.

Jennings, who is entering his fourth NFL season, has been a valuable part of the 49ers’ offense, particularly on third down. He has compiled 78 receptions for 963 yards and seven touchdowns in his career so far, with 40 of those catches coming on third down and 32 resulting in a first down.

Keeping both Jennings and fellow wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk in the receiving core will be essential for the team’s success as they look to build a competitive roster for the future. Aiyuk was originally tendered as an exclusive rights free agent by the 49ers after being drafted in the second round of the NFL Draft in April.
