49ers Sign Restricted Free Agent Jauan Jennings to Two-Year Deal for $15.4 Million

Jauan Jennings agrees to a two-year contract with the 49ers

The 49ers have recently signed a new contract with receiver Jauan Jennings, a restricted free agent, for a two-year deal worth up to $15.4 million, of which $10.5 million is guaranteed. This is a significant upgrade from the second-round tender he was previously offered, which would have paid him $4.89 million.

Jennings was drafted by the 49ers in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft but did not make the team initially. However, after spending a year on the practice squad, he played in 16 games in 2021 and 2022 and 13 games in 2023. Last season, Jennings had an impressive performance with 19 catches for 265 yards and a touchdown. He followed that up with 10 receptions, 111 yards, and a touchdown in the postseason, including a catch in Super Bowl LVIII.

Throughout his career, Jennings has accumulated an impressive total of 78 receptions for 963 yards and seven touchdowns. With this new contract, he will be connected with the club until 2025 and will undoubtedly continue to be an important part of the team’s offense moving forward.
