A 29-year-old Mobile man was sentenced to life in prison for the 2021 murder of 22-year-old Kelon Foster outside a sports bar. LeCarey Dionte Lett pleaded guilty to the fatal shooting, which occurred on the night of September 11, 2021, just after 10 p.m. Lett ambushed Foster as he was leaving Stadium Sports Bar and shot him multiple times with a handgun.
Mobile County District Attorney Keith Blackwood expressed hope that the resolution of this case would bring some peace to Kelon Foster’s family. He stated that Lett took accountability for his actions by admitting to the crime. The tragic loss of life is always difficult to bear, but justice has been served in this instance.
