Elena Krause of Pontiac’s junior softball team has been named the 25 Sports Athlete of the Week after leading her team to their first Softball State Title in program history. Krause was a standout player on the field, showcasing her pitching skills in the Sweet 16, Elite 8, Final Four, and State Title game with four consecutive shutout performances.
Krause will continue her athletic career at Stanford University, but for now, she is focused on helping Pontiac defend their 3A State Championship next year.
