2024 World Supercross Championship Calendar: Four Rounds, Doubleheader in Perth, and Roczen’s Return

Announcement of the 2024 World Supercross (WSX) Schedule

The 2024 World Supercross Championship calendar has been revealed, featuring four rounds in three cities, with one doubleheader in Perth, Australia. The season will begin in Vancouver, Canada on October 26 and conclude in Abu Dhabi on Yas Island on December 4. The Abu Dhabi round will coincide with the Formula 1 season finale, which is scheduled for December 8.

One of the top contenders for the championship in 2024 is Ken Roczen, who plans to return from a season-ending injury in the Monster Energy Supercross Series. Roczen has won the championship for the past two years, beating Joey Savatgy both times. In 2022, Vince Friese finished third, while Dean Wilson took the final spot on the podium in 2023.

Each round of the World Supercross Championship includes qualification, heats, a Superpole session to determine gate picks, and a main event. The 2023 season featured three rounds but was reduced midway through due to unforeseen circumstances. Roczen won races in Birmingham, England and Melbourne, while Savatgy claimed victory in Abu Dhabi.

In other motorcycle racing news, Max Anstie has left Firepower Honda and signed with Star Yamaha. MotoGP has added a new rung to its developmental ladder, and riders like Austin Forkner and Jorge Prado have faced recent challenges.
