In 2023, Mister Perfect Mike Schloesser achieved a remarkable feat by spending 1758 consecutive days ranked number one in the world in archery. This surpassed Sara Lopez’s previous record in the modern era since 2006. Schloesser expressed his gratitude for being able to pursue his passion for archery for a long time and credited his success to focusing on one arrow at a time.
Schloesser’s dominance in the sport began in 2015, shortly after winning the World Archery Championships at just 19 years old. He most recently reclaimed the top ranking in mid-2021 and has continued to impress with podium finishes at the World Championships and victories at the Hyundai Archery World Cup Final.
