Yuka Saso secures second US Women’s Open golf championship

Yuka Saso from Japan emerged victorious at the US Women’s Open, holing a crucial putt at the 72nd hole to secure a three-shot win at the Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania. The young golfer showcased her skill on the back nine, carding a two-under-par 68 to claim her second LPGA tour title.

At just 22 years old, Saso became the youngest player to win the US Women’s Open twice, joining an elite group of golfers who made their first two LPGA wins major titles. Despite a setback with a four-putt double-bogey at the sixth hole, Saso regrouped and secured birdies at crucial moments from the 12th through the 16th hole, allowing her to distance herself from the other contenders.
